Location:

Program:
School of Architecture

The project begins by intentionally disregarding the the archetypal obligations of making an architecture school. It contests the traditional methods and subverts the roles of learning institutions as opaque keepers of knowledge.

The project proposes a learning ground, a cultural plane, a communal terrain that lifts to accommodate program and folds to invent geopraphy.
The ‘building’ is read in its context as a hill or mound- a knot in the rigour of the orthogonal campus masterplan. It becomes less of totem and more of the
ground- an infrastructure and less of a figure. The heroism and ambition of the architecture is marginalized, replaced instead by a phenomenological reading of place
and learning.
